Mbombela Municipality Garden Refuse Tipper With Crew Cab
Mbombela municipality required two of their trucks to be fitted with a custom truck body, this included a combination of a tipper truck as well as a personnel carrier to aid in the removal of garden refuse in and around the Nelspruit area. Stako Engineering implemented a design on a Nissan UD90 freight carrier truck.
Our standard tipper truck body design was modified and extended sides were fitted, combining 3mm steel sheets and expanded metal inserts to aid in reducing weight. An undercarriage cylinder was mounted to the chassis to allow for as much space at the from end where the crew cab was to be fitted.
The application of this tipper truck was to remove garden refuse loaded by hand, which includes branches and other organic debris. The crew cab allows for staff to safely travel with the load and quickly exit to load the truck.
